Our office is located in Billings, MT. Our dentist and our team can help reawaken your smile.
The Basics Come First
Dental cleanings and examinations should be part of your oral hygiene routine.
In addition to brushing and flossing on a daily basis, you should visit our office a few times each year to keep your teeth in top condition. Our dentist or one of our hygienists will give you a professional cleaning.
We will remove any plaque or tartar buildup that you make have missed. This will reduce your risk of tooth decay or gum disease. We will finish with a polish.
Now, if we do find tooth decay or gum disease, our team is ready and capable of correcting those issues as well. We will recommend the proper treatment for your teeth depending on how mild or how severe your situation may be.
During your visit, we also make X-rays of your mouth. For returning patients, we will look for any changes in your teeth since your previous visit. For new patients, we will check for any potential problems and keep your records for comparison during future visits.
And always remember that you can ask questions at any time. We are happy to explain why we do what we are going to do, and we can offer advice regarding your home dental care.
The Next Step
Since you are coming for a cleaning, it’s clear that your teeth are important to you. We agree that they are important.
Teeth help people break down the foods that they eat to get the nutrition that they need. Oral health is a good indicator of overall health. Unfortunately, our teeth may not always look as healthy as we feel they are.
As we get older, our teeth experience wear and tear. It’s normal for our teeth to become yellower the more that we use them. In some ways it’s inevitable. As long as we continue to use our teeth to eat, they will be affected by our biting and chewing.
Most of us are aware that certain foods are more likely to stain our teeth than others, too.
Coffee, tea, soft drinks, and wine are just a few of the beverages that can wear on our enamel. They leave behind small traces with each drink. Years and decades of drinks do leave a mark.
Smoking or using smokeless tobacco can damage our teeth in multiple ways, including causing our teeth to becomes stained faster.
To help your teeth — and your smile — look nicer, consider the benefits of teeth whitening.
With Opalescence Boost, we have a powerful, professional whitening product that can remove layers of stains in a single visit to our office. In addition to its stain-removing ability, Opalescence Boost contains fluoride and potassium nitrate. These ingredients can strengthen your enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity, which can be a problem with other whitening products.
If you would rather do your teeth whitening at home, we also offer take-home trays that are custom molded to fit your teeth. You will need more time to see the results that you would see with our in-office treatment, but many patients prefer the convenience of doing their whitening on their time.
A Winning Combination
During your next visit to our office, get a double dose of dental care.
Your cleaning and examination provide the preventive benefits you need. Then, professional teeth whitening can take your smile to the next level. You may even find this cosmetic treatment makes you more confident about your smile.
All our patients are important to our team at Legacy Smiles. We want to work with you to keep your mouth as healthy as possible, as teeth whitening can help your teeth look as good as they feel.
